A Bit About Me

Dominquie Walters is a dance educator, choreographer, and researcher whose work lives at the intersection of artistry, pedagogy, and advocacy. He holds a BFA in Dance from Valdosta State University and an MA in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

With experience spanning public school education, performance, and community-based work, Dominquie is committed to creating rigorous, affirming spaces for dance rooted in discipline, accountability, and care. His choreographic practice centers interdisciplinary storytelling, using movement to explore personal identity, history, and pressing social issues.

His research focuses on the Art of Majorette and its relationship to culturally responsive public school curriculum. Through teaching, scholarship, and creative practice, Dominquie advocates for equity, representation, and sustained investment in arts education.
